My Teaching Philosophy

  1. Make learning fun while sticking to the learning objectives.
  2. Teach with the premise that everyone learns differently.
Value their learning styles, stay open and flexible and adapt.
  3. Motivate students to want to learn, inspire them and be patient.
  4. Ask powerful questions, serving as a “coaching educator.”
  5. Serve the larger community and beyond.  Remember the student as a whole person.
  6. Keep learning myself so I may serve as a role model.
  7. Put myself in my customer’s shoes (the students) and try to keep their passion and future goals on the radar screen.
  8. Follow the core values of education (Be accessible, be respectful, be a partner, be engaging, and be accountable).
