Description: In this year's competition each student team must design an autonomous robot/vehicle to shoot one ping-pong ball through each of three outfield targets and then round the bases in less than 60 seconds. In order to emphasize reliability, the total score will consist of the sum of the four time trial scores, along with the scores for a team presentation before a panel of judges and a written report. See the 2010 Official Rules for full details (link to the right). Prizes: As stated in the official rules, the top three teams will receive nice plaques. The winning teams will also receive copies of the student edition of SolidWorks. SolidWorks is a sponsor of the competition. |
