- several "releasing" hormones

Corticotropin Releasing Hormone - makes anterior pituitary release ACTH
Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone - makes anterior pituitary release GH
Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone - makes anterior pituitary release FSH & LH (the gonadotropins)
Dopamine (Prolactin Inhibiting Hormone) - reduces prolactin release from  anterior pituitary
Prolactin Releasing Hormone - makes anterior pituitary release Prolactin
Thyrotropin or Thyroid Stimulating Hormone Releasing Hormone -  makes anterior pituitary release Thyrotropin 
Antidiuretic Hormone (ADH) = Arginine Vasopressin (AVP) - stored in posterior pituitary
Oxytocin - stored in posterior pituitary
