Michael J. French Memorial Engineering Scholarship
2007 Award Recipients

The TCC Engineering Club, along with the scholarship selection committee, is pleased to announce that three students were selected to receive scholarships from the Michael J. French Memorial Engineering Scholarship.  The selection committee was impressed with students’ career plans and is glad to be able to assist them financially as they pursue careers in engineering.

Emily Ansell Educational Goal: Emily plans to transfer to ODU to pursue a double major in Civil Engineering and Mathematics. She would ultimately like to “design communities and urban areas which nurture families”.	Sonia Gopal Educational Goal: Sonia plans to transfer to VCU to pursue a career in Biomedical Engineering. She is very active in a number of student organizations at TCC.	Lusayo Mwamlima Educational Goal: Lusayo plans to major in Electrical/Computer Engineering and hopes to achieve a Master’s degree. He would like to work full time and teach part time when he returns home to Africa.
