The intent of this course to introduce the discipline of geography. It is a subject that emphasizes space and place on Earth's surface. What is where, why, and who cares? Throughout, I want to demonstrate that geography is much broader than a mere recognition of a place or name -- that it is an eclectic social science which emphasizes spatial patterns and relationships.
