What do I need to know to succeed in this class?
Students MUST have a decent background in biology and chemistry to be able to
succeed in this class. The course schedule booklet lists Bio 01 or Bio 101 as
Prerequisites. It is highly recommended that you complete Bio 101 with a C or better
prior to registering for Bio 141/142.

Students are responsible for:
1. Lecture Tests - 3 tests + final exam
   a. Notes/Outlines - information in web outlines (from my web home page, not bb) - most, but NOT all is
       in the text book.
You are NOT responsible for the red/orange text or links and materials.
This material is reviewed in the Flash Cards and Crossword Puzzles found in bb's course documents.
   b. Pathologies - At the end of the web outlines for several chapters are Pathologies/Diseases
NOT covered in the lecture/class - students are responsible for these - no more than that in the web outline.
   c. Prefixes, Suffixes, Roots - divided among the 1st 3 lecture tests & available from the web syllabus
   d. information in the text that DIRECTLY RELATES to the outlines.
2. Practice Quizzes on bb "Assignments". Must be completed prior to schedule of the respective test.
3. Crossword Puzzles or Flash Cards - Provided to aid reviewing potential test questions. These are
customized to the web notes/outline & test question. NOTE: Do not rely on these for 100% accuracy.
Students are responsible for determining the correct information according to their lecture book.
Any inconsistencies between book and notes/cards/puzzles should be brought to my attention well
in advance of quizzes, tests, etc. Always DOUBLE CHECK WITH YOUR BOOK.
