- For face-to-face classes, if you are not physically present WHEN ROLE IS TAKEN, you are absent.
   - IF YOU ARE LATE PLEASE ENTER AS QUIETLY AS POSIBLE & DO NOT CONVERSE WITH OTHER STUDENTS
   - Student's arriving late will not be permitted to take quizzes/tests/practicals/exams

- non-Participation/attendance for online and face-to-face classes is determined by:
  1. Failure to take ANY lecture exam without PRIOR NOTICE - verifiable documentation will be checked with Doctor's note
that student was incapacitated to the point that they could not place a phone call etc. i.e. in a coma.
Taking all tests, quizzes, and exams by due date is mandatory. Students missing any tests will be considered non-participatory
and may be withdrawn from class.
  2. Students must complete Mastering A&P Quiz 1 prior to the Last Day to Withdraw with Tuition Refund. We are
required to withdraw students who do not participate in class by this date. See Semester Calendars
from TCC's home page for dates.
  3. Not purchasing Mastering A&P prior to the Last Day to Withdraw with Tuition Refund (and completing Quiz 1 as above)
  4. Being physically present and on time to face-to-face classes - missing 20% of a face-to-face class
      - missing 20% (just 3 classes) of lab will result in a grade of zero for the lab
  5. Frequency of blackboard visitation - professor's discretion

The student handbook is clear in its statements that:
"all students are expected to be present and on time for all scheduled class and laboratory meetings."
In the event of an absence, "the student is responsible for determining and making up all work missed."
You must attain any missed lecture or laboratory notes from another student.

A student will be withdrawn from a course "when the instructor determines that absences
constitute unsatisfactory attendance." Unsatisfactory attendance is defined as absences in
excess of 20% of the scheduled instructional time in either lecture or laboratory."

Students are responsible for the definitions of Academic Misconduct, Plagiarism, and Disruptive Behavior
as defined in the student handbook.
