William L. Sherrill, M.A. Economics

Your instructor will be William Sherrill, Professor of Economics and Real Estate. He holds a Masters Degree in Economics and has completed doctoral courses in Macro and Micro Economics at Colorado State University. He has taught Principles of Economics full time at Old Dominion University and Colorado State University.

Your instructors practical business experience comes from various successful business ventures he has created and operated. He owns a real estate brokerage business in the area and teaches the real estate education courses for the State of Virginia. He presently, teaches economics and real estate courses at Tidewater Community College in Norfolk, Virginia.

Mr. Sherrill twice received the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching and Instruction. He has also received the QM designation for his online economics courses. All of his courses have been peer reviewed and QM certified. This certification mark recognizes that his courses met Quality Matters review standards. For additional details visit Quality Matters.

Your instructor co-authored a VCCS Learningware grant to develop videos and other learning objects for the online Interdisciplinary Commonwealth course in Economics. The grant team includes Dr. Marcia Tharp, Mathematics, Professor Joe Antinarella, English, and Ken Long, Economics.
